Evonne Lin holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Southern California’s (USC) Thornton School of Music, where she attended on a merit scholarship. She brings over twenty years of experience in classical piano with a diverse repertoire. Throughout her career, Evonne has been recognized in numerous competitions, including the Los Angeles International Liszt Competition and the James Ramos International Piano Competition. She has participated in masterclasses and lessons with acclaimed pianists Dmitry Rachmanov, Inna Faliks, Kevin Fitz-Gerald, Peter Mack, Keith Porter-Snell, and Diane Hidy, among others. Beyond her solo work, she has collaborated with instrumentalists, singers, and ensembles in private lessons, studio classes, rehearsals, and performances. While at Thornton, she also served as a pianist for undergraduate voice classes. Her primary teachers include Bernadene Blaha, Olya Katsman, and Larisa Kagan.
Alongside her musical studies, Evonne double-minored in Psychology and Occupational Science. Currently, she is completing a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from USC and is dedicated to supporting individuals of all ages in meaningful engagement through occupation and creative expression. She has worked with children with autism, ADHD, and other developmental disabilities, as well as older adults with physical and cognitive impairments during her clinical training. As a piano instructor, she draws on these interdisciplinary backgrounds to create an inclusive learning environment that celebrates each student's unique strengths.
Evonne has brought her work into the community through performances for hospital patients and senior residents across the Bay Area and in Los Angeles. She has also appeared in fundraising concerts for nonprofit organizations, such as Heart of Hope, Friends of Children with Special Needs, and the Deaf Plus Adult Community. She maintains a private teaching studio based in the Bay Area.
